With your support we can give working animals and the people who depend on them a better future.

Some people think of SPANA as an animal charity that helps people. Others think we are a people charity that helps animals.

SPANA's CEO Jeremy Hulme and other staff members write from the front lines of our work, taking in everything from the Chelsea Flower show to the drought in Chad.

Congratulations to all the SPANA runners who successfully completed the 2009 BUPA London 10,000!

Despite the weather being a bit up and down, it was a fantastic day with lots of awareness being raised for SPANA, particularly by our two Donkey Costumes.

The BUPA London 10,000 is a fantastic 10k event starting and finishing in London’s beautiful St James’ Park. It takes in some of London’s legendary sights such as Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and St Paul’s Cathedral and even follows part of the route planned for the 2012 Olympic Marathon route.

We'd love to have you as part of our team for 2010, so please visit www.london10000.co.uk for information on how to enter the race online. For those who didn't take part this year, entry will open on the 10th June. When you have secured your place, please make sure you let us know that your place is confirmed and you’d like to raise money for SPANA.

If you miss out on online entry, all is not lost! You can run on one of SPANA’s limited number of Guaranteed Places. Please call us on 020 7837 3999 or email kirsty@spana.org if you are interested in signing up on one of our guaranteed places.
