Organise a collection
Kate Short always has a SPANA collection box at hand.
This is a fantastic way of raising vital funds for SPANA’s work, whilst also spreading the word about the importance of working animals abroad. You could, for example, collect funds in your local town centre, outside your local supermarket or arrange for a collection box to be placed in your local shop or pub.
Kate Short has been using SPANA's collection box for years and says, "I am a great believer in the collecting box idea - it is such an easy and effective way to get small 'reward' favours, as well as getting SPANA's name around."
SPANA will kit you out with your very own plastic collection box and information leaflets or posters if appropriate. Please call us on 020 7831 3999 or email us to arrange a collection.
Please note that to collect in a public place, you must get permission from your local council and to collect on a property such as a supermarket or pub, you must get permission from the owner/manager of the premises.

Hold a sale
Is it about time you had a clear out at home? You could de-clutter your life whilst raising vital funds for SPANA at the same time!
Keep an eye out for sales going on in your area, such as car boot sales or fetes. Make sure you get in early to book your spot. Get friends and family to let you have their unwanted things too.
And you could be surprised by the amount you can raise. Jean and Malcolm Smith (pictured), for example, have raised over £11,000 in the last 12 years - that's about £1,000 a year!
