Run for SPANA through the most picturesque parts of London in the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon!
When: 9 October 2016
Where: Hyde Park, Central London
Distance: 13.1 miles
The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon takes place in London every October. Runners start and finish in beautiful Hyde Park and follow the 13.1 mile route past many of London’s top sights at their own pace. Join over 16,000 runners on a beautiful run through autumnal Royal Parks for SPANA, and help working animals worldwide while you do it.
SPANA has filled all our charity places in this year's run but if you have secured your own place in the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon 2016 we’d love you to come on board as a SPANA runner and join our team! We’ll provide you with hints and tips on your fundraising, sponsorship forms, training advice and provide you with your very own SPANA running vest or T-shirt to wear with pride on the day.
Every year we rely on volunteers to support our runners and help them have the best experience possible during their big run. If you would like to volunteer at the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon and cheer on our runners, email firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know!

“Running for SPANA was an incredible experience for me. To know that by running I was helping SPANA made the run 10 times more important. I had to gulp down the lump in my throat when I ran past the SPANA team cheering me en route.
I felt so proud to be running for something so important to me. I couldn't wait to do it again.”
- Rachel Swyers, Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon, 2013 and 2015
