SPANA's "Courtyard of Calm" at Chelsea Flower Show

20 February 2008

We are delighted to have been accepted for the 2008 RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
SPANA’s ‘Courtyard of Calm’ is inspired by a traditional Moroccan courtyard where donkeys and other animals are still an integral part of daily life.  Our tranquil oasis subtly depicts the relationship between man, animals, plants and the environment.

With a stable scene in the background and a donkey cart in the foreground our relaxing garden offers respite from the heat of the (Moroccan) sun. The aromatic scent of herbs and scented shrubs such as mint and lavender drift slowly through the garden to the soothing sound of water from the beautifully tiled fountain.

With around 250,000 people visiting Chelsea Flower Show we aim to raise awareness of our vital work and inspire more people to support us.  We also hope that our loyal SPANA supporters will be there to cheer us on!  Please do book your tickets as soon as possible – tickets sell out quickly!
