At its peak, Iraq’s conflict meant that many Iraqi farmers struggled to keep their horses and donkeys alive.
SPANA was invited to help by the Red Crescent and the Royal Army Veterinary Corp. We distributed food and medicines and, using a local veterinary team, treated over 140,000 sick and injured animals.
