SPANA funded a project run by Gambia's Horse and Donkey Trust to increase knowledge about animal welfare in rural owners. A veterinary clinic was also built, which now has a part-time vet.
Additionally, we financed the creation of Gambicats; a local animal protection society to neuter and vaccinate stray cats and dogs around local hotels on the coast.
