Chad

When we arrived in the camps in the dry season in 2007, almost a third of the animals in one region had already died.

Thanks to the quick response of our supporters we were able to build water-collection basins, which now provide life-saving water for animals and families and open up grazing land.

Another benefit of this project has been a reduction in tensions between the refugees from Darfur and the local Chadian villagers.
