El Salvador
SPANA has translated its training manual into Spanish for distribution amongst animal workers. The manual is specifically designed for veterinary staff in developing countries.
Mexico
SPANA helped farmers to grow crops to provide their working animals with a good diet, so that they remain healthy.
Argentina
It is illegal to use ill or injured animals in Argentina's capital city, Buenos Aires. However, because the police had nowhere to house animals, this law could not be implemented.
SPANA provided the funding for the Association for the Defence of Animal Rights to build a shelter for animals whose owners were being fined for their mistreatment. Here they can rest and get veterinary care if required.
Brazil
SPANA funded the construction of an animal clinic in Fortaleza, one of Brazil's poorest regions. We also helped the Associacao de Amparo dos Animals to refurbish their animal sanctuary in Diadema.
Peru
SPANA provides funding for campaigning and education, as well as treatment, to give working animals in Peru better lives and a healthier future.
